I think it's good news that suicide makes you uncomfortable, seems a good hint you're mentally healthy.
All I wanted to say is that how much you think this is Wilson rationally deciding to commit suicide and how much it is Wilson dying of a disease, namely untreated depression, is a bit in the eye of the reader.
